The Band will need to meet at the bus ramp no later than 8:30 am on Saturday for our trip to 6 Flags. We will return to Mabry at 5:30 pm. Please be on time for pick-up as the day will be long, and all involved will want to go home to be with family. Sunscreen is recommended as is money for lunch.

7th/8th Graders Trip is on Saturday, April 26th.
6th Graders Trip is on Saturday, May 3rd.

The students have been working hard all year and are anxious to show you what they have learned. The concert will be held on Thursday, May 1st in the Mabry Theater. The 6th Concert Band should report to the band room at 6:40 to organize for the concert. They will perform at 7 pm. The 6th Advanced Band class should report to the band room at 7:00. They will perform at 7:20. All groups should wear nice school clothes, however, please exclude t-shirts, jeans, shorts and tennis shoes.

Thank you parents and students for all you do to make the Mabry Band experience rewarding. We look forward to seeing you on the 1st!

The students have been working hard to prepare a program for you. The 7th Concert Band should report to the band room at 6:40 to organize for the concert. They will perform at 7 pm. The 7th Symphonic Band should report to the band room at 7:00. They will perform at 7:20. The 8th Concert Band should report to the band room at 7:30. They will perform at 7:50 pm. The 8th Symphonic Band should report to the band room at 7:50. They will perform at 8:15 pm. All groups should wear nice school clothes, however, please exclude t-shirts, jeans, shorts and tennis shoes.

While students are welcome to stay and hear the other groups, this is not a requirement. Seating is limited in the theater, and we want to make sure there is adequate seating for families hearing their child perform. So if you wish to leave after your child’s performance, feel free to do so. We look forward to seeing you there!

To accommodate these students, we will do the following:

Students will be granted a make-up audition on an individual basis according to geographic region. If, for example, you live in extreme north Georgia, we will have the make-up tryout in a school north of Atlanta. Exact location will be determined based on your home school and the school of the judge who listened to your student’s panel on Saturday. It will be the responsibility

Please join us at the Campus of Kennesaw State University on Thursday, Dec. 13th for a preview of our Midwest Performance. Dr. Brian Bowman, one of the world's most respected euphonium players will be a soloist with the band. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30. Harrison High School, also performing at Midwest, will perform at 8:15 and you are invited to hear them as well. Admission is free and the concert will be held at the Bobbie Bailey Performing Arts Center on campus.
